Dr. Lishika Lange
Dr. Lishika Lange’s love for animal welfare began in high school around 2012, when she volunteered in various clinics and shelters before embarking on her official veterinary career in 2020. As an Associate Veterinarian at The Cat Clinic, Dr. Lange holds both Fear Free and Cat‑Friendly certifications—underscoring her commitment to reducing stress, fear, and anxiety in feline patients.
She thrives on forming deep connections with both her clients and their cats, guiding each pet to live their best lives through personalized, compassionate care. Dr. Lange values being part of an exceptional team wholly devoted to feline well‑being and is inspired daily by the clinic’s dedication to stress‑minimizing practices for cats.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Lange loves immersing herself in the outdoors—whether hiking, paddle boarding, or backpacking. She also enjoys quieter pursuits like reading, crocheting, leatherworking, playing the viola, and gaming. Her constant companion is Midna, her adventurous cat who joins her on walks and explorations.
Fun fact: Dr. Lange once worked in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, closely assisting researchers while handling black bears—and even had the unique honour of giving one an identification tattoo! She’s also now a walking encyclopedia of black bear trivia, from ear‑tagging to behavioural ecology in the Smokies.
