The Cat Clinic staff member checking x-ray results

Digital Radiology

The radiograph, also known as an x-ray, is one of our most used and relied upon diagnostic tools. As part of a full patient work up radiographs can be used alone or in conjunction with other diagnostic tools to provide a window into what's going on inside your cat.

At The Cat Clinic we utilize state of the art digital radiographs that render an image of your cat in seconds. If required these digital images make it very easy to share with other experts to assist in diagnosis and interpretation. They also allow us to use additional tools such as enlargement and focusing which are not possible with traditional radiographs. Should you wish to have a copy of your cat's images you may go home with them on a CD or we can simply email the images to you.

These images can be used to provide valuable information about bone structure, pregnancies, gastrointestinal tract, lungs, heart, kidney, liver, and bladder. Radiology can also be used to help diagnose bone fractures, foreign bodies, bladder or kidney stones and growths or abnormalities in the body cavity. More specialized profiles such as a barium contrast series can also be performed at The Cat Clinic.
