Utah is a very busy but happy boy who was found as a stray and taken to Hamilton Animal Services. After his stray time was up we were thrilled that we had space in our adoption program for him. Ideally we would like to see this two year old boy placed in a home without other cats. Food puzzles or fun and games will be a definite plus for this guy. He’s very food motivated and would do really well if someone wanted to have a cat that they could train to do tricks (the next great internet sensation maybe??) He’s been in a kennel for a few weeks now so we do expect him to calm down once he has a home of his own. He has tested positive for FIV but that is no reason he can’t have a long and happy life.
If you’re interested in adopting Utah or have any questions about FIV please feel free to contact the clinic.
The Feline Winn Foundation has this to say about FIV:
"While FIV is a contagious disease, the risk of spread in stable households (where the cats get along and not generally biting each other deeply enough to draw blood) is extremely low. Several studies have shown that infected cats can live with healthy cats for many years without disease transfer."
Our Adoption fee is $175/each this includes the full initial series of vaccinations, neutering, deworming, defleaing, FeLV/FIV testing, treatment for any external parasites, and microchipping.
