Cats for Adoption

I've been adopted - Please meet Lucky

November 22, 2017 / 3 Comments

Update:  Darling Lucky has had the pins removed from her leg and is doing awesome with her physiotherapy!  She is finally ready to start looking for a family of her own.  If your interested in Luky please contact the clinic.

Original Post:  Dr.Matt first met Lucky when she was brought into a Toronto emergency hospital where he works some weekends. She had decided to try and fly off a balcony but didn’t realize she didn’t have any wings. As a result she ended out with a fractured leg. Her owner was unable to care for her and rather than euthanize Dr.Matt called the clinic to see if we could squeeze her in to our adoption program. Of course we said yes.

She had surgery to pin her leg and we hope to be able to remove those pins sometime this week.  After this she will need a few weeks of physiotherapy and then she should be as good as new.

Lucky is a really sweet little love bug who is FeLV/FIV negative.  She would do well in any home where trying to fly isn’t part of her day.

Our Adoption fee is $175.  This includes the full initial series of vaccinations, neutering or spaying, deworming, defleaing, fecal testing, FeLV/FIV testing, treatment for any external parasites, an insurance trial, and microchipping

Lucky is just over a year.  It's hard to tell you for sure what her personality is as she has been on cage rest since we have had her.  I can tell you she's very sweet and loves attention.  She's good with other cats - her and our clinic cat Lance are trying to be friends between the bars. We think she's going to be a pretty laid back kitty as most hyper kitties go a little crazy when confined for long periods.  We can let you more when we are able to start letting her out more.
