Cats for Adoption

I've been adopted! - Please meet Snowball

Snowball came to us through the Freedom Riders from the Quinte Humane Society. He was originally “seized” from a hoarding household and then placed in QHS’s group housing room. We knew this 9 year old boy needed a lot of dental work but when he arrived he was so scraggly and skinny that we were worried there was something more sinister going on. We also noticed he had a bit of diarrhea and occasionally some vomiting. After having blood work, radiographs, an ultrasound and a food/medication trial done it turns out Snowball has Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Thankfully special food (Gastro High Energy), a probiotic (fortiflora) and an anti-inflammatory (prednisolone) help manage Snowballs condition quite well and he’s been gaining weight every week while in our care. His dental procedure was very involved and Dr.Mark had to remove all of his teeth except for one. As you can imagine this was a lot for Snowball to recover from.  But he’s healed and ready to start looking for his forever family. This super chatty, attention seeking boy is FeLV/FIV negative and with the right introduction gets along well with other cats.  He's going to do well in any home that can give him lots of attention.

Our Adoption fee is $175.  This includes the full initial series of vaccinations, neutering or spaying, deworming, defleaing, fecal testing, FeLV/FIV testing, treatment for any external parasites, an insurance trial, and microchipping.  In Snowball's case it also includes a full work up and dental surgery.
