If only they could talk, we are sure this beat up fellow would have quite the story to tell. Boom came to us by way of the Freedom Drivers all the way from Sorel Quebec. He’s around 2 years old and has already had a pretty rough go of it. He had an abscess on his left front leg and was covered in scratches. For a male stray cat this wasn’t all that surprising. We also found evidence of a couple of previous fractures to his ribs and two broken canine teeth. The canine teeth are from two different incidence of trauma as one is an upper right and the other is a lower left! Poor Boom! Once he’s recovered from an upper respiratory infection (common after a shelter stay), and the abscess he will be going to Village Cat Clinic to have his broken teeth removed and a dental cleaning before he’s ready to find his new family.
Boom is a super affectionate polydactyl guy who loves snuggles and shoulder rides. He’s not really sure about toys just yet but we are sure given the chance he’s going to love to play. He’s FeLV/FIV negative and when he was briefly visiting one of our technologist’s houses he had no reaction when another kitty was growling at him, Because of this, with the right introduction we feel Boom would do just fine in a home with another "cat friendly" kitty.
Between broken bones, bite wounds, abcesses and fractured teeth we really feel this guy has already had his share of hardship. Can you give him a better life?
Our Adoption fee is $175. This includes the full initial series of vaccinations, neutering or spaying, deworming, defleaing, fecal testing, FeLV/FIV testing, treatment for any external parasites, an insurance trial, and microchipping. In Booms case it's also included a dental procedure and much needed medical care to recover from his experiences being a stray.
